Tuesday August 7th

PARIS, FRANCE!!!

We arrived in Paris, France after a long day of traveling and hiking through Luxembourg City on foot, and found our hotel in Paris.  It seems that we have fully adjusted to the time change finally, because we typically have been exhausted at 8pm and relax in our hotel for the evening and watch the Olympics, but we just arrived in Paris at 8pm and decided we would take the Metro into the City and see exactly what Jenna has been dying to see her whole life…the Eiffel Tower!!

The Eiffel Tower was all light up and the area was packed!  We arrived and got our first full view of the Eiffel Tower, and honestly it was magical!  The tower has just presence that it makes you shiver!

Honestly, the Eiffel Tower is so well known and you would typically think over-rated, but truthfully it is amazing!

We noticed that you could climb the stairs up the Eiffel Tower instead of just taking the elevator…so of course we did!  (We probably average at least 5-10km of walking a day on this trip, so we might as well climbing the Eiffel Tower to that!!)   Unfortunately the very top was not open at this time, but you have to take an elevator to the top anyways.
